Waste tracking slip
The waste tracking slip (or BSD) is a form whose purpose is to ensure the traceability of hazardous waste and to constitute proof of its disposal for the responsible producer.
It includes information on the origin of the waste, its characteristics, the collection, transport and storage methods, the identity of the companies involved, and the destination of the waste. The waste tracking form accompanies the waste to the receiving facility, which may be a disposal centre, a consolidation centre or a pre-treatment centre.
The BSD must be issued by any producer of hazardous waste and completed by the various stakeholders — carrier, collection facility — until its treatment by the final facility.
