Waste tracking note
The Waste Tracking Note (or WTN) is a form designed to ensure the traceability of hazardous waste, and to provide proof of disposal for the responsible producer.
It includes information on the source of the waste, its characteristics, collection, transport and storage methods, the identity of the companies involved and the destination of the waste. The slip accompanies the waste to the destination facility, which may be a disposal center, a consolidation center or a pre-treatment center.
The WTN must be issued by every producer of hazardous waste and filled in by the various parties involved (carrier, consolidation facility, etc.) until it is processed by the final facility.
